Things came to a screeching halt at The Havens yesterday. I went out to hang up my laundry and the white sheets seemed particularly blinding. Then I went over to the viburnum bed and finished that weeding job so we could empty the compost containers and put the mulch there. After I finished that job, I felt so exhausted, I thought I’d go in and rest and have some water.
I walked into the house and immediately felt like I was freezing to death. Plus my throat was sore and I was achier than I would have thought justified by my short stint of work. So I took my temperature.
100.5° F. I called my clients, canceled their appointments, went to bed, and slept for five hours. When I woke up it had gone up to 101.9° and I felt like someone had come in while I was sleeping and beat me up.
I’m still feverish. It’s gone down to a manageable 100.8. I’m laying low today.
Of course, I’ve been trying to figure out where I picked this bug up, and hoping sincerely that it is not in any way related to the tick that was biting me last week.
I hate being sick, I’m no good at it at all. Guess I’d better get my butt back in bed. Just sitting here at the computer is wearing me out.
