What I saw at dawn this morning. I had to make a blood sacrifice for these photos, the mosquitos were out in force.

Hi there – “a blood sacrifice” – I like that!
I think I must have picked this phrase up as a kid – but I call a moon like that “The new moon with the old moon in her arms”.
We’ve used that phrase around here a few times, lovely thought.
