Silverstar, I was drooling over NurseMyra’s corset too! What a great series of shots she got this time. It amazes me that the same color appears in totally different species of flower.
az, I loved the light too. We were sitting at the dinner table enjoying our wine when the setting sun came around the corner and lit up this bouquet. I immediately grabbed the camera and Jim helped me move used dishes, etc out of the shot, arrange the curtains, the chairs behind to get clutter out of it, wiped the crumbs and spilled salad dressing up, and then I was able to get the shot. Glad we took the time on this one. Peonies are such extravagant flowers.
I wouldn’t know about peonies being extravagant: I only ever get one flower on each of my bushes.
Never know whether to spend the day sitting outside in front of it, until the elements get to it and me, or pick off the one flower, take it indoors and then have no justification for a boring green shrub for the rest of the year.
I have a thing for petals around vases. Let me know when I can reciprocate with the gleam of light and the dropped petals.
