I have lots of pictures of birds. But none of them are as cute as this Carolina wren chick. It had fledged from the nest that the parents built on the shelf of Jim’s shop, and was still contemplating the idea of actually flying out of the door and into the rugosa rose the way the mama wanted it to. I love the tufts of chick fluff above its ears.

Ah, the little bird looks so soft and fuzzy!
With his chest all puffed up he makes me think of a politician. You got really close, for that shot. Amazing.
Too adorable!
That is quite possibly (short of my kitten, Sly) the cutest thing I have *ever* seen! 🙂 Seriously.
No bird can compare to the cuteness of a kitten.
What a great shot. Absolutely adorable little bird.
Looks like a little guy with big attitude. I hope he learned to fly. Thanks for sharing.
sooooooo cute!
that’s one fine lookin’ chick! s/he’ll break many a fellow wren’s hearts methinks hehe
thanks for visiting my blog earlier (the one with Duck-zilla hehe)
Awwwwwww… so cute and fuzzy — though I have to say its eyes already seem to show an adult intelligence in there!
Not according to its Mamma, who had spent almost all day trying to convince the silly thing to fly out the door of the shop and learn to hunt for bugs rather than squat in there waiting to be fed!
wish I could get that close to a bird…
He has the eyebrows of an old man… Lol…
Mine is finally up:
Aw, she is way too small for me to eat!
Aww what a little sweetie!
Oh for goodness sake! What an amazing image, with those fluffy ear feathers! We have had the little Carolina wrens build nests in our shed too, not even seeing how they could squeeze through the door opening to bring in so much nesting material. Love to watch their antics, so brave and vocal they are. 🙂

lovely juxtaposition of fluffy roundness in the body and pointy sharpness in the beak.
OMG, that is SOOOOOOO cute!!!
