Time for Skywatch Friday. . .
Had the opportunity to float on the Niangua River on Tuesday. We had Hurricane Hermine headed for the area, and we had enjoyed some good rain last week so the river had sufficient water in it to make the float very enjoyable indeed.
We almost thought we were going to be rained out in the morning, though, as a group of scattered showers moved through the area. But the operative phrase there is “Moved Through”, and eventually Jeri and I got onto the water and had a glorious float down to the K-P Bridge. During the afternoon, the vanguards of Hermine started to make an appearance on the horizon, chasing after the remains of the small front that had gone through the night before.
Somehow, they didn’t spoil our day at all. Rather they adorned it with fluffy beauty.
My feet had a wonderful time.
