Have to decorate in time for the Solstice, DaddyP! That’s when I’m having my bonfire. Very interesting day astronomically too, we will get to see a full lunar eclipse here in North America in the early morning hours of the day of the Winter Solstice.
I have a spider just like that!
My mom used to have the most beautiful tree. She would spend days putting the lights on so the wires wouldn’t show. Her ornaments were really special and she used to have fun grouping them into themes. She had the Wizard of Oz characters, handmade floppy little doll children with real hair, nutcrackers, you name it. One of my favorites was Eeyore, and he always refused to face forward . He’d just look away pitifully no matter how much you fiddled with him. You could get lost and spend hours looking at her tree.
For 20 years it was a ritual for my daughter and I to spend Christmas in Florida with my mom and dad. Since she died 3 years ago, I’ve always flown to see my dad. Next month we’ll be driving down and that’s one of the most important things I plan to bring back~her precious collection.
