My blog has been dormant far too long. I have found myself deeply embroiled in family, in making art, and in remodeling the house and gardens. I think it is high time I rejoined the blogging world.
This is a native bumblebee on a lanceleaf coreopsis. It was taken in the new prairie garden, which I began working on in 2016 soon after Dollar General built a new store adjacent to our property. When they did that, they also built a fabulous privacy fence which serves as an admirable backdrop for the new prairie garden.
Beautiful image. Look forward to following your blog.
Thanks, Kylie! It will be fun to give garden tours…and other things too.
Hellooooooooooooo – delighted to see you here! My poor blog has been badly neglected also and shows no current tendency for anything else, but I’m looking forward to YOUR blog and your garden.
Apparently there are a lot of blogs that have been neglected. I’m glad to be back, and have lots of stories to tell.
Like you, i’m just not feeling it on social media – and miss the good old days. i’m trying to commit to at least getting out here once a week, and staying up with my blogmates. You’ve been busy – and it’s always a good idea to have a place to sort through all that! Good to see you back!
Looking forward to seeing you in the blogosphere’
So good to see you back! I myself have just been picking up reading blogs and doing more yardwork after moving into an apartment with a yard – so it’s wonderful to see a familiar “face” as I gear up to plant things.
