Today’s Photohunt theme is sparkle.   Anyone who knows me knows I love things that sparkle.  It is simply impossible for me to create a card that does not have glitter on it.

As you can well imagine, there is a constant supply of glitter on the floor around here, and on my desk as well.   No matter.   The label says it is completely non-toxic.

But that is not all that sparkles around here.   I am attracted to shiny rocks, and there are just a plethora of them in the garden.   This is just one of many.

Of course, there is sparkling water on the river.

Last winter we had a couple of snows that involved big fluffy flakes.   Here is an image I captured as they were falling in the sunlight, glittering and sparkling and adorning the whole world in glory.

I spent a certain amount of time after those snows wandering around, freezing my camera and other things, trying to get the sparkle of the sun on the snow.   It was being refracted by the flakes and making wonderful colored flashes.   This phenomenon was amazingly difficult to capture.

So, make sure you visit the other photohunters.  It’s a lot of fun, and there is some great photography out there.
